I’m finally starting a newsletter! It’s called from the nest, just like this blog, and I’m really excited about it. I’m going to use it to make sure everyone knows about new things happening here at Annie Yarn. I’ll talk about new colorways I’m cooking up, new yarn bases in our line-up, and send out calls for custom orders for our luxury bases. I’ll also use the newsletter to make sure you know about polls I’m running in the Ravelry group so you can weigh in on future bases and other products. And every now and then, I’ll probably show off FO’s and designs made in Annie Yarn. So as you can see, it’s going to be fun.
As far as the frequency of my e-mails, I can’t say there will be a schedule. Just as creativity seems to happen in spurts, I think newsletters will as well. This is such a creative business, after all. Plus things tend to happen seasonally.
In case you missed the first edition I sent out last night, you can read it here. And then you can sign up by filling out this form here, but make sure you read the rest of this post before you do… you’ll see why! ;)
Did you know that we offer birthday discounts? We’ve been offering them for a couple years now, and all this time I’ve been looking for a way to automatically remind our lovely fans to use their discount when their birthday is coming up. Well, the search is over. I’ve found a way!!!
When you sign up for our newsletter, you’ll have the option to put in your birthday (month/day only). That goes into your profile with MailChimp, my newsletter client, and the system will automatically send you reminders to use your discount! One will be sent two weeks before your birthday, and then another the day of, just in case you forgot about it. All the instructions you’ll need will be right there in the e-mails, so you’ll know exactly what to do to enjoy your birthday treat!
If you’d like to know how the birthday discounts work and just what to expect, you can read up on it on the page I’ve put together. And if you have any further questions, please comment here on the blog or use our general inquiries contact form to drop me a line!
